Need a truck? We can bring one for a $150 truck fee within 30 miles of Orlando (farther moves may cost more based on mileage and truck size), or book labor only if you have your own truck, trailer or container.

How to prepare for moving day
A little prep keeps the clock short and your bill lower.
- Pack and seal boxes before the crew arrives, and label them by room
- Set aside valuables, documents and medications to carry yourself
- Disconnect and empty appliances, and clear drawers that hold loose items
- Clear hallways and walkways, and reserve parking or elevator time if needed
- Tell us about stairs, long carries and heavy items ahead of time
- Have someone available to guide the crew on arrival
Moving questions, answered
How is time counted?
You pay for the actual time the crew works, billed at the hourly rate for the crew size you choose. Your final bill is based on actual time worked, not a flat estimate.
Is there a minimum?
Yes, there is a 2-hour minimum on every move.
How much is the deposit, and what does it cover?
A $100 deposit is paid when you book online to hold your date. It is applied to your final bill. Credit cards add a 3% card processing fee (no fee for debit cards). Deposits are non-refundable, except if we decline or cancel your move; if you reschedule with at least 72 hours' notice, it carries over to your new date.
Do you bring the truck?
We can. If we bring the moving truck, the truck fee is $150 for moves within a 30-mile radius of Orlando. For longer distances, the truck fee may change based on mileage and the truck size your move needs, and we'll confirm it with you before moving day. If you already have a truck, trailer, rental or storage container, choose labor only when you book and there is no truck fee.
Is there an extra charge for stairs?
No. There is no stairs fee. Please tell us about any stairs at pickup or drop-off when you book, so we can plan the right crew and time.
How many movers do I need?
As a rule of thumb, 2 movers suit studios and 1-bedroom apartments, 3 movers suit 2–3 bedroom homes and small offices, and 4 movers suit larger homes and commercial moves. Our table above shows typical estimates, and we are happy to help you choose when you book or request a quote.
Do you pack?
Our main service is loading, transporting and unloading. If you need packing help, mention it when you request a quote and we will let you know what we can do.
Can you move fragile or heavy items?
Yes. Loading and unloading fragile and heavy-duty items is part of what we do. Tell us about anything unusual, such as a piano, a safe or gym equipment, when you book so we can plan the right crew.
Do you do long-distance moves?
We do local moves around Orlando and long-distance moves anywhere within Florida. Request a free quote with your pickup and drop-off locations.
How do I pay?
You pay the $100 deposit online when you book. The remaining balance is based on the actual time worked. If you have questions about payment methods for the final balance, call us at 407-492-4942.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please contact us as early as you can at 407-492-4942. Cancellation and refund terms are set out on our terms page.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Heavy Lifters LLC is a licensed and insured Florida registered LLC, USDOT #4262136. A certificate of insurance (COI) is available on request.
